Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Grain and Meat Alternate Credit for NSLP and SBP

Each Woodles Protein + noodle cake (84g) will credit as a 2 Grain, 1.75 Meat Alternate. 1/2 of a Woodles Protein+ noodle cake will credit as a 1 grain, 0.75 Meat Alternate.

How does Woodles Protein + come packaged from the distributor?

The noodle cakes are packed in eight sleeves of six noodle cakes, 48 total noodle cakes per case. The sleeves are important to prevent breakage in transit and to preserve freshness.

Are Woodles shelf stable?

Woodles ramen is a shelf stable product and the shelf life of the product is 365 days from production.

Are Woodles gluten free?

No, there is wheat in Woodles.

How do you cook Woodles?

You can cook Woodles the quickest in boiling water for 3-4 minutes. Or you can pour boiling temperature water over Woodles to let them soak and rehydrate for 5-6 minutes in a pan on the countertop.

How do you serve Woodles?

Woodles are scoopable, but to preserve the long ramen noodle strands we recommend portioning out a serving (based on the recipe you are using) to use as a reference while serving Woodles with tongs.

Will Woodles get mushy if held for an hour or two before serving?

As long as Woodles have not been over cooked, they hold extremely well in a covered pan, if tossed in a little water and oil. They can hold up to two hours this way prior to service.
